Pulse Triathlon club was established back in June 2003 when a group of friends embarked on their first interest in the sport of Triathlon by competing in a charity event. Looking to join a club they discovered at the time, there were few clubs suitable in South Dublin so they decided to establish a new club. Pulse Port Beach Triathlon & Youth Series Entries are OPEN πŸ€©πŸ…

When? Saturday, 26th September

Where? Port Beach, Co. Louth

What? 14th year of the ever popular sprint race to close out the national series. 750m swim in Port Beach, 20km bike on flat, closed roads, and finished off with a flat 5km run.

Entries (€65) are now open, and you can sign up through Triathlon Ireland.

‼️ Open water swims are back ‼️

Tomorrow evening we have our first official open water swim session in Killiney.

We will meet in the car park (ready to swim) at 6:45pm for a quick briefing on safety, house rules and plans for the season. We’ll then hit the water for 7pm.

For those new to these club sessions and a reminder to everyone, what you need to bring is:

* Wetsuit
* Goggles
* Bright coloured swim hat
* Tow float

Also recommended are
* Flip flops / sandles (very stoney beach)
* warm clothes (to change into afterwards)
* A keep cup (for a hot drink afterwards)
* *Cake*

Today we held our first event in our club TT series 🚴

We had over 20 members take part, and incredible marshalls and volunteers helping make sure it all came together, and the essential refreshments were on hand!

The 2026 race season has begun!

Lots of our members started off their 2026 race season over the weekend at .a.c Half Marathon. It was a brilliant event all round!

We also had representing Pulse all the way across the world in New Zealand. RΓ³ completed her first Ironman, with an incredible finish time, a perfectly executed race, and a smile on her face all day long.

’s year is off to a flying start, with a 10th place finish at the Naas Duathlon, placing 2nd in the Junior Category. had an incredible race too, finishing as the 2nd female over the line. Sam also raced at the Limerick Duathlon over the weekend and came 1st in the Junior race and 4th overall!

Why: If you are interested in learning more about Pulse, the world of triathlon, or hearing about our New to Tri programme, come along and meet some of our members who will tell you all about their experience with the club.

Feel free to join us at our Wednesday coached track session at 7pm - 8pm before the meeting. This session will take place at the track behind Tallaght Athletics Club.

‼️ New to Tri is back for 2026 ‼️

We are delighted to share that the Pulse New to Tri programme is back after the success of the programme over the past number of years.

Kicking off in early March, our New to Tri programme offers people the chance to get race-ready (as a beginner or a seasoned triathlete wishing to make a return).

We offer sessions covering:

πŸŠπŸ½β€β™€οΈ Swim (weekly coached lanes and open water swimming starting in May)
πŸš΄πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Bike (coached spinning, and weekly group cycles)
πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ Run (coached track session, and optional Parkrun)
πŸ‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ S&C (available at additional cost)

Our New to Tri programme is the ideal way to dip your toe (or dive head first) into the world of triathlon, in a friendly, safe environment, with plenty of encouragement along the way!
