Ladies I canβt stress the importance of building or maintaining lean muscle after the age of 35!
Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest compared to fat tissue. As we age, metabolic rates tend to decline, so increasing muscle mass can help maintain a healthy weight and prevent weight gain.
Strength training is crucial for bone density. We are at a higher risk of osteoporosis as we age, especially after menopause. Building muscle through resistance training can help strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures.

Ladies, weight gain during this phase of our life is very common!
Maintaining a strength & fitness routine can sufficiently help manage symptoms and your overall health hereβs why & how:
*Metabolic Changes: Your Metabolism tends to slow down with age, making it easier to gain weight and harder to lose it.
*Hormonal Changes: Estrogen levels decline during menopause, which can lead to a redistribution of fat to the abdomen rather than hips and thighs.
* Exercise can alleviate symptoms like moodswings, hotflushes, poorsleep & weight gain.
*Strength training and weight-bearing exercises are crucial for maintaining
bone density and reducing the risk of osteoporosis, which can increase during menopause.
Consistency is key, and finding activities you enjoy can make it easier to stick with it!
