🎄 Calm in the Christmas Chaos 🎄

The next couple of weeks will likely bring later nights, busy days and a break from your usual routine. Your child’s sleep may feel a little disrupted. That’s completely normal.

As a parent, you can create calm in the chaos by holding onto the small things that matter:
🫛 a quiet bedtime story away from the noise
🫛sleep on the go when needed
🫛 keeping feeds and naps as consistent as possible, even during party time

Focus on what you can control and let go of what you can’t. Consistency doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.

Use the stormy weather to your advantage. Embrace the cosy shorter days and create winter sleep rituals that help your child settle at bedtime and sleep through the night.

It’s easy to slip into the idea of “let’s wait until the new year” at this time of year, but you don’t need to.
There are 6 weeks and 6 days until 2026. That is plenty of time to get your child’s sleep into a great place before we start a new year.

We always talk about overtiredness BUT what about the nights your child just isn’t tired enough? 😵‍💫 If bedtime turns into endless chatting, singing, or running laps around the landing, it might be that their body simply isn’t ready to sleep yet!

💚 Common signs your child isn’t tired enough:
• They lie happily in bed but don’t drift off
• They’re full of energy right before bed
• They take 45+ minutes to fall asleep
• They wake up early but seem rested

Let’s fix it! Try adjusting nap length & naps altogether, bringing bedtime slightly later, or adding a bit more active play in the afternoon.
