Last rainy Sunday the club “Go&Catch” held the spinning from the boats competition (lures only), club’s cup to win. 20 teams from all over Ireland gathered at one of the most beautiful and fishiest lakes in Ireland Gowna. The weather was not comfortable for fishing, it rained all day and the wind was blowing hard, but the pikes were active and playing the ball. The goal for every team was to catch 5 pikes not shorter than 50cm. After 7 hours of fishing we had winners.
1th place winners:
Laimonas and Darius 5 pikes in total lenth 436cm
2th place winners:
Andrius and Gintaras 5 pikes in total lenth 433cm
3th place winners:
Oleg and Vladimirs 5 pikes in total lenth 385cm

As every year the Lithuanian fishing club in Ireland "Go&Catch" organized autumn competitions on the Lough Gowna to win the club's cup. The competition has become a traditional and attracts many experienced anglers from all over Ireland. This time nearly fifty spinning lovers gathered for the competition. The goal of all was to catch five pikes with a length of 50 cm and longer. The pikes were not as active as we hoped and wanted, but experienced anglers found the key to success and managed to lure a few good-sized fish.
After seven hours on the water, 58 pike were caught, photographed and released back into the lake.
As always, there was a great mood during the competition, the anglers enjoyed the great autumn weather and nature, promising each other to meet at other events organized by Club "Go&Catch".
The longest pike 97cm was cought by Arnoldas.

Important safety message for all Go and Catch club members and friends regarding the use of lifejackets and buoyancy aids.
A life-jacket is a Personal Flotation Devices (PFD's) and is a statutory requirement for pleasure craft in Ireland. There must be suitable PFDs for everyone on board any pleasure craft and must be worn in the following situations:
1. By anyone on board an open craft that is under 7 meters in length;
2. By anyone on deck on a craft that is under 7 meters length;
3. By anyone under the age of 16 on board an open craft or on deck of any other type of craft;
4. By anyone being towed in another craft or on any other device (skis, donuts etc.);
5. By anyone on a personal watercraft (jet ski).
Exceptions are when:
· boats are tied up alongside or made fast to an anchor, marina, pier or mooring;
· Immediately prior to, during and after swimming from a craft that is not moving through the water;
· Putting on, wearing or taking off diving equipment on a craft that is not moving through the water.
Inland Fisheries Ireland help to sponsor our events, but one of their terms and conditions is that all competitors must obey the law and wear a lifejacket; in the future, they will not sponsor us if competitors do not wear their lifejackets.
So from now on, any competitors who do not wear a lifejacket during a competition will be disqualified.

What a great day for the Goandcatch club and friends!!!
On the last Sunday of spring, the club organized a lure fishing competition "SUKRE CUP 2023".🥇🥈🥉🏆
The venue was hold on lovely lake Gowna. 50 experienced anglers from all over Ireland took part in this match.
It was a wonderful and comfortable day for fishing, but the pikes with which each team had to catch 5 over 50cm showed character.
However most anglers prove that they are experienced and have found the key to catching a capricious pikes...
After 7 hours of fishing we had three winning teams that each caught five fish of amazing size.
Was pleasantly surprised by the youngest competitor Aodhan who caught the longest pike in the competition...
Aodhan participated in the competition with his father and they missed the top three by just a few centimeters.

The Lithuanian Fishing Club in Ireland "GoandCatch" held their first competition this years. As March is the month of opening season for trout, the club diceded to organized the match of this beautiful fish.
Forty experienced anglers from all over Ireland gathered to test their skills. The morning was beautiful and full of promises, participants eagerly was awaiting for start...
After six hours of competition we had the winners.
We cought, photographed and released back to the lake 48 trouts over 30 cm in length.
1th place winners with 6 trouts in total lenth 274cm is Audrius and Andrius
2th place winners with 5 trouts in total lenth 230cm is Arnoldas and Kamil
3th place winners with 5 trouts in total lenth 212cm is Marius and Mindaugas
Longest trout in lenth of 60cm was cought by Svjatoslavs Gucevics

After some break, the Lithuanian Fishing Club in Ireland “Go&Catch” decided to meet again, invite old good friends and organize the lure fishing from the boats competition. So on the last Sunday of May, several dozen anglers from all over Ireland went towards Gowna Lake…
The rules of competition was very simple, to catch 5 long pikes.
After seven hours of competition we counted the rezults:
Laimonas and Visvaldas won the first place with five pikes in total lenth 424cm.
Second place was won by Mikas and Tadas. The lenth ot their 5 pikes were 400cm.
Third place was won by Andrius and Deividas with total lenth of 375cm.
The longest pike 101cm cought by Laimonas.
The atmosphere after match was great, the participants shared their impressions about fishing on Lough Gowna and promised to meet each other tor the next fishing competitions.

The last 8th leg of Lithuanian Fishing Club In Ireland "Go&Catch" championship "SUKRE CUP" 2019, took place last sunday at lough Oughter. We called this contest "Go for Big...". The goal was to catch as biggest pike as possible. But as the usually the biggest ones didn't want to bite.
We caught a lot of short pikes and only a few of them were deserved to be photographed...

One more competition is done... It was a 7th leg of our club's lure championship "SUKRE CUP" 2019. This time for the match we chose one of Ireland's largest lakes, Ree.
The weather for fishing was great, but the pikes show us their character. Only 18 pike over 50 cm were caught. Perch was very active, we caught a lot of them, but it wasn't the fish we needed for the results for that day.

2 Plce winner Gintaras 4 pikes in total lenth 216cm
3 Place winner Deividas 2 pikes in total lenth 120cm

Last sunday "Go&Catch" club held their 6th leg of lure championship "SUKRE" cup 2019. This time we were fishing only perch. For the competition we choose lake in Co.Cavan. To be honest no one of us expected to catch so many perch. Although the size of the fish was not large but they were numerous.
