Hi everyone, huge thank you for the support for the last couple of days in our Open.

The results of yesterday's Over 55's Strokeplay are in. Posted in the pictures.

Not going to lie, it has been a bitterly disappointing couple of days in truth with support from both inside the club and afar, hopefully that changes tomorrow and we get a few more playing.

We wish everyone the very best of luck in the All-Ireland Matchplay Finals which start tomorrow.

Our own John Boyle kicks off the Juniors in Bishopstown against a former champion at 8.30am. No doubt he's found his bed in Cork already!

Around Midday, in the Intermediate Gents, Stephen Finn will try show why he's Dublin Pitch and Putt Intermediate Champion in a great looking game against Bryan Murphy.

Finally, it's John-Ross Crangle up in the Senior Championship against last year's semi finalist Anthony Galvin. It's been 9yrs since JR triumphed in Tipperary, can he now do it, in the home of pitch and putt!

Greens cut and ready for our Open Singles Strokeplay

All members of Pitch and Putt Ireland welcome, we understand a lot of people will be on their way to Cork for the All-Ireland Matchplay this weekend but if you're in the area, don't be afraid to pop in for a game.

€3 per card or 4 for €10(covering both days)

Players came from Glenville Pitch&Putt Club Old County Pitch & Putt Club RGSC pitch and putt club Rathfeigh pitch and putt and Loughlinstown Pitch & Putt to play and appreciate every one

Loughlinstown Pitch and Putt Open

Started this morning with the Over 55's Singles Strokeplay. Play until 8pm tonight.

Open Singles Strokeplay Friday & Saturday for all (Over 16's) starts at 10am with last card 8pm

Course is in great condition considering the heat over the last few days, lots of work gone into the course and other areas as will build up to a busy Summer!

Play will be from 10am with last card 8pm

Prizes over 36 holes (18 hole prizes dependant on entrie)

We wish everyone safe travels and to get to the course when travelling from the M50 couldn't be any easier:

Exit the M50 at Junction 16 (Cherrywood/Loughlinstown)

Stay straight until you cross the bridge taking the first right down the slip road to the N11. When leaving the slip road, stay left and take the very first exit and the course is on the left.

There will be water on course, food and refreshments available in the clubhouse too.

There will be no charge for tea/coffee, biscuits or water but we will have some items priced.

We are due plenty of sunshine throughout the 3 days, the course in very good shape and we hope you enjoy it.

More good news for the club as we had a winner at last week's Open in Old County Pitch & Putt Club

Good afternoon folks. Here are the results of the 2026 Old County Open Two Ball Scramble competition. Congratulations to the winners and a big "Thank You" to everybody who played.
The 2026 Old County Open is over. It was a really fantastic few days. I hope everybody enjoyed it, win or lose.
The presentation for the Anne Keane and Tom Doyle Trophies and the 2026 Old County Open (Over 55s and Two Ball Scramble) will take place after our Wednesday scramble tomorrow so please try to come up.

A great day for the club in Lucan at the John Smith Scratch Cup

Gary Healy put on an absolutely stunning last 36 holes including a 42 & 48 to run out a four shot winner.

It was double joy for the club as Kenneth Butler took the Junior winning prize on countback.

The Loughlinstown Pitch and Putt Club Open will take place next week.

The course is in fine shape at the moment but unfortunately we have run out of time to get our new 17th green ready for play, a couple of more weeks will do it the world of good and we hope to be in play at our Scratch Cup next month.

Play will be from 10am to 8pm on all 3 days

Open Strokeplay on Friday 29th & Saturday 30th

ALL-IRELAND MATCHPLAY QUALIFIERS

Yesterday the All-Ireland Matchplay Qualifying took place in Longmeadows for the Inters & Juniors.

In the Intermediate Grade, unfortunately both Rory Ellard & Niall Bennett were defeated but better news for Stephen Finn as he qualified for the finals in Cork.

In the Junior Grade, we had 3 entries, unbelievably the only 3 entries in the county!

Paul Donohoe defeated Ciaran McCormack with the winner playing John Boyle. John would win through and book his place in the finals in Cork too on June Bank Holiday weekend

Today, in Royal Meath, it was the Senior Gents turn in a 36 hole Strokeplay Qualifying for the whole of Leinster. JR Crangle flew the flag for the club and came through in superb fashion with rounds of -10 & -9 to finish the top scorer on the day.

Congratulations to all three players and hopefully, in June, we might be celebrating!
