Yin & Pin: Summer Reset with Sarah Marshall

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), summer aligns with the Fire element, representing maximum Yang energy, outward expansion, warmth, and vitality.

However too much Yang means we can end up feeling a little burnt out. The intense Summer energy can deplete our Shen (our spirit) and leave us feeling a little restless.

This soothing practice of long-held Yin poses working with acupuncture points that help to calm our Shen and replenish our Qi, will restore your balance and give you a space to reset.

Date: Sunday 26th July 5-7pm
Where: Yoga Sanctuary, Malahide village
Investment: €45

Capricorn is associated with mountains, foundations, and slow, steady progress.

This Full Moon here asks:
* What have I built over the past six months?
* What am I proud of?
* Where have my consistent efforts paid off?

Unlike some Full Moons that focus on emotional release, Capricorn also encourages us to acknowledge our accomplishments—something many of us skip over.

Releasing the Weight of “Should”
Capricorn can sometimes carry the shadow of over-responsibility:
* perfectionism
* overworking
* feeling that your worth depends on productivity
* taking responsibility for everyone else

This Full Moon offers an opportunity to ask:
Which responsibilities are truly mine?
Which expectations can I set down?

Many astrologers frame this as a time to release obligations that no longer align with your values.

Because the Sun is in Cancer—the sign traditionally associated with emotional safety—and the Moon is in Capricorn, there is a symbolic dialogue between:
* vulnerability and strength
* rest and effort
* intuition and planning

Rather than suppressing emotions (a common Capricorn stereotype), this pairing can invite us to meet them with steadiness and compassion.

For this Capricorn Full Moon, a useful question isn’t:
What do I want?
Instead, it might be:
What am I willing to consistently show up for?

Capricorn reminds us that meaningful change is usually built through small, repeated actions.

Many astrologers also note that this Full Moon is unfolding alongside larger planetary themes involving reflection, reassessment, and the balance between idealism and practicality. Some point to Mercury’s retrograde in Cancer around this period, encouraging review rather than rushing ahead.

These broader transits reinforce the idea of pausing, evaluating, and making intentional choices rather than acting impulsively.
