The Clonliffe 2 Mile Road Race is the oldest continuous Road Race in Ireland and one of the oldest in the world. The race commenced in 1891 as a club race. N. C.

The race commenced in 1891 as a club race, soon to become an Invitational 2 Mile and eventually an Open Road Race. The next running of the race on Thursday May 22nd 2014 will be the 123rd consecutive annual running of the Clonliffe 2. In a little over two weeks time the 133rd Clonliffe 2, Ireland’s oldest road race takes place at 10:30 AM on Sunday, October 20.
