The season is winding down, but Dundalk’s most Brazilian Winter League team is still in the hunt for a second piece of silverware - as they take on recently crowned League Champs Wee Celtic.

Back in league action tomorrow night. The battle of the Boozers!

A thrilling game in Oriel Park saw us lift the McGee Cup for the first time.

We took the lead against the run of play thanks to Tadhg’s super hit, but grew into the game a bit more as the clock ticked on.

The first of Adam Flynn’s brace was a worldie, worthy of winning a cup final and doubled our lead about the hour mark - but we have learned the hard way not to relax at 2-0 up against Muirhevnamor! (We’ve been in that position twice in the last two years, and twice ended up losing in a penalty shoot out. So fair to say we were maybe due a bit of luck).

Flynn’s second, and our third, put us in the ascendency in the final quarter. Both sides were reduced to ten after an unfortunate incident nearing the end. But credit to Muirhevnamor, they pushed us all the way, played great football and they won’t be strangers to finals and silverware going forward.

Well done to all the lads who turns out and helped us make a wee bit of our own Winter League history. Thanks to the support there last night too 👏🏻. The league resumes next week and hopefully we’ll be in the hunt for something there too.
