🌍 Pickleball Around the World – the Philippines 🇵🇭

In the latest edition of our "Pickleball Around the World" series, one of our members, Ria Baker has shared her recent experience of playing pickleball in the Philippines.

My First Pickleball Session in the Philippines

I recently had my first pickleball session at Revel Grove, in Laguna, Philippines, playing from 7pm to 11pm. The courts were designed exclusively for pickleball, reflecting the sport's growing popularity across the country.

What impressed me most was how well organised everything was. The groupings and court switch-overs were managed very efficiently, ensuring that games flowed smoothly throughout the evening. The fun music playing in the background also created a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

Having only played pickleball in Ireland, the biggest adjustment for me was the heat. Despite being Filipino, playing in the warm and humid conditions was quite a challenge. Overall, it was a memorable experience and a great way to experience pickleball in a different environment.

One of the best things about pickleball is that wherever you travel, you can visit a local club, meet new people and enjoy a game together. It's a fantastic way to experience the local community while making new friends through sport.
