♻️ COOLEY PARISH – DEPOSIT ON RETURN WITH GRATITUDE 💚

🎃 As we approach Halloween and look ahead to Christmas, we are asking our community to think of others who may be struggling during the winter months.

Do you have recyclable plastic bottles and aluminium cans with the Deposit Return logo? If so, we would be delighted if you could pass them on to support our Deposit on Return with Gratitude Scheme.

Every bottle and can makes a difference! 🙏

💚 All funds raised will go directly towards helping local people and families in our community who may be finding things difficult this winter.

At a time when many households are under pressure, this is a simple but meaningful way for us to look out for our neighbours and put our community spirit into action.

Rather than letting those bottles and cans go to landfill, let’s turn them into something positive — a little help, a little hope, and a reminder that nobody in our community should feel forgotten.

📍 Bring your plastic bottles and aluminium drink cans to St Mary’s Hall on the first Saturday of each month, from 10am to 12 noon.
Next collection is Saturday 6th November.

Please share this post, spread the word, and encourage family, friends, neighbours, local businesses, pubs, restaurants and clubs to get involved.

Together, we can make a real difference to those who need a helping hand this winter.

💚 Deposit on Return with Gratitude — Recycling with a purpose, helping our neighbours with love.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Exciting News for Glenmore AC! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We are delighted to share that work will shortly begin on the next major phase of the development of our facilities at Bush Post Primary School, with the upgrade of our athletics track from 6 lanes to 8 lanes.

This is a hugely positive development for the club and will provide:

✅ Increased training capacity for our growing juvenile and senior membership
✅ Greater capacity to host competitions and events
✅ Enhanced opportunities to attract regional athletics events
✅ A modern facility that will help meet the club's needs for many years to come

As part of the project, the track will be extended to include two additional lanes, a new perimeter fence will be installed, and a new walking track will be developed around the outside of the athletics track.

*Work is expected to commence during the week beginning 26 October* . We are working closely with the contractor and Bush Post Primary School to ensure that access to the track can be maintained as much as possible during the construction phase, with appropriate safety measures in place.

We ask all members, athletes, families and track users to bear with us during this exciting period of development. While there may be some temporary disruption, the long-term benefits for the club will be significant. We will keep everyone updated as the project progresses.

Thank you for your continued support of Glenmore AC as we take another important step forward in the development of our club. 💚🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️

🏆☘️ GLENMORE AC JUVENILE AWARDS NIGHT 2026! ☘️🏆

A lovely evening celebrating the achievements of our young athletes at our Annual Juvenile Awards Night, held for the first time in our new meeting space!

It was great to see so many of our juveniles and their families joining us to recognise another fantastic year for the club.

🏆 We presented our Cross Country and Track & Field Athletes of the Year awards across the different age categories, along with our Most Improved Athletes and Outstanding Achievement Awards.

🌟 A special congratulations to Iarla Ryan, our Club Athlete of the Year 2026!

🎁 Every athlete who competed for Glenmore AC throughout the year was presented with a Glenmore AC water bottle ☘️ as a small token of our appreciation for their effort, commitment and for representing the club so proudly.

Parents, get the names on those bottles ASAP! 🫣😂 We don't want any mix-ups at training!

While medals and trophies are great, it's the participation, improvement and willingness to give it a go that really matters and we love to see!

A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches, parents and guardians for their continued support throughout the year.

👏 Well done to all our award winners and every juvenile who pulled on the Glenmore singlet this year. We're proud of you all!
