Glenmuir United FC - Celebrating 50 Years -
Over the past few months the Glenmuir United FC Audio Documentary team of Frank O Callaghan, Mark Shiels, Ciarán Hand and Ciarán Caldwell have been exceptionally busy recording and editing a series of programmes - Glenmuir United FC - Celebrating 50 Years.
The series is now ready to be aired on Dundalk FM. Each show will be available a week after broadcast through the Glenmuir United FC social media channels.
The series, by reflecting the origin and inclusive development of the club, will serve as a long lasting record of the tremendous benefits that the club has brought to the youth, residents, families and wider community.
It is a testament to the community activists (among whom is Frank, though I know he will insist that it is collective effort) who saw the need for a club 50 years ago and through this project have added another string to their bow - as community sports journalists.
