IMRA MANGERTON MOUNTAIN RACE 2026.
The 3rd round of the IMRA Munster Mountain Running Championship took place in Kerry today with the Mangerton race overlooking Killarney. The race, one of the most difficult in the calendar, is 10km and has 700mtrs of climbing on very technical terrain. Club senior Barry Hartnett continuing his current good form took an early lead after 2kms and despite a valiant effort from Sean Quirke of Bilboa AC to catch Barry on the decent was unable to close the gap. This is Barry's 3rd win in the 7 race series and with 4 races to score one more podium should secure him his first senior provincial championship title.
Huge congratulations to Barry on his three in a row π₯³πͺπ»ππ»
