The Harps GAA

The Harps GAA The Harps GAA Club is a Hurling and Gaelic Football Club in the Durrow and Cullohill Parish, South Laois County, Ireland.

In the early 1970s there were talks of Cullohill and Durrow GAA Clubs coming together to make one club and strengthen their position, but nothing materialised at the time. However, after the respective AGMs of both clubs for 1983, officials and players got together in an effort to form a parish team. The background to this was that from U12 to U21 there was a parish team, which played under the name of St Fintans and were enjoying some success. However after U21 level the paths divided back to the Durrow and Cullohill clubs respectively. It was agreed between players and members that the best way forward was together and so The Harps GAA Club came into existence. Throughout the years, players and officials from The Harps have represented their club at County and Provincial level in both Hurling and Football, and long may it continue...

🏌️‍♂️ HARPS GAA GOLF CLASSIC – SEPTEMBER 26TH 🏌️‍♀️

We’re delighted to announce our 4th Annual Harps GAA Golf Classic, taking place on Saturday, 26th September in Abbeyleix Golf Club.

We’re looking for teams of 3 to take part in the 3-Ball Scramble (€100 per team), with some fantastic prizes up for grabs on the day.

There are also prizes for GUI & Non-GUI teams, Nearest to the Pin, Skill Competition, Ladies’ Longest Drive, Men’s Longest Drive, and more.

A huge thank you to MES Ireland, our main sponsor for the day, and to all our sponsors and supporters who are helping make the event possible.

We’d love to see as many teams as possible taking part. Your support is hugely appreciated and will help with the ongoing development of Harps GAA.

Hurling 4 Cancer was founded in 2011 and by Davy Russell & Jim Bolger to raise funds for cancer research. Since then the event is fast tracked to reach its €2millon fundraising milestone!!
