Best of luck lads

05/10/2026

Lots on the line on Tuesday evening as both our minor hurlers and U14 footballers face play-off games to stay in their respective championships. A QF tie Vs Clooney-Quin is the prize on offer to our hurlers while the winners of the U14 football tie has an engagement in Miltown Malbay on Sunday morning also. Very best of luck to both panels togging in Caherlohan and Gurteen.

Our U14 hurlers are Co. Final bound after their win over Clonlara in this morning's B Championship semi-final in Éire Óg. A slightly shaky start saw Clon race into an early lead. But a 10 point turnaround saw the lads go into the break five points to the good. Three second half goals added to some excellent points ensured the victory which was based on old fashioned blocking, hooking and dogged determination. O'Callaghans Mills await in the final. Two Co. Finals to look forward to on 18th October. Hard luck to Clonlara who contributed hugely to a fine juvenile match. Up the young Townies.

U17A Football Championship Semi-final Result

Ennistymon 4-09
Éire Óg 1-15.

Hard luck lads. End of the road for this group of minor footballers who have had a very good season making an "A" semi-final. Thanks to their coaches for the effort and time they put into the boys this year. It's off to adult football for some of the group who will graduate to U21 this autumn. Congratulations to Ennistymon on their win and best of luck in the final with Cratloe.

Best of luck to the boys on Saturday morning

U14 Academy Hurling Result......

Inagh-Kilnamona 3-06 (1-01)
Éire Óg 5-11 (2-08)

Super performance from the boys in a gale this evening in Inagh. A 10 point lead at half-time with the elements looked like it wouldn't be sufficient to secure victory. But a brilliant display of teamwork and huge workrate all over the field after the break means our lads come away with the points.

Up the young Townies.🇲🇨🇵🇱🇲🇨🇵🇱

Rd. 3 of the U14 Academy Hurling Competition this evening in Inagh. Wrap up well for the occasion. Best of luck to the boys.
