Debriefing following this morning's U14A Football game in Ballynacally against Clondegad. Unfortunately the boys came up short on a 4-13 to 3-09 scoreline. But results are not the only metric by which these competitions are gauged. 24 players saw game-time this morning and all will have learned a little bit more about the game, their own abilities and what is required to compete at "A" level. We will also field a second team in the U14 Academy competition next week. Plenty opportunities for players to develop further on the long path to adulthood.

Éire Óg 3-15
Cratloe 2-13.

Well done boys on a solid performance. Trailing by a point at half-time 0-7 to 0-6 having played into the breeze, Éire Óg really hit the ground running in the 2nd half and kicked on to a good win. Hard luck to Cratloe who plugged on well with a couple of late goals to reduce the margin to five at the end.
