Busy Weekend for EHC all round !!! 💜🤍🏑

L1 Ladies 💜 3-0
Our L1 ladies took the short spin down to Wexford to take on home rivals for their 3rd league match. The girls had to play it tight in the defence to ensure the Wexford ladies couldn’t concede a goal. Although on the attack the Enniscorthy ladies were very positive throughout. Niamh Ogilvie, Bronagh Lett and Leah Kidd were the scorers for this match after some great teamwork shown throughout. We can’t wait to see what next week brings for these ladies as they continue to be unbeaten so far !!

L2 Ladies 🤍 0-1
Our 2nd ladies team took the long drive to take on Old Alex in their stomping ground. With the pitch being freshly resurfaced it was a tough battle on a gritty pitch. The ladies put up a great battle throughout with fantastic defending from Rebecca Doyle, Ana Garcia, Jane Peppard and Nicole Guinan as well as great saves from Amber James. They were unfortunate to come away with 1 nil loss. The ladies will be back next week stronger ready to take on another league match.

Men 🏑 1-4
Our men’s team took on Pembroke at home, with the home advantage the men took their opportunity and got a goal in the first few minutes !! Pembroke came back stronger and weren’t willing to make the drive home with a loss. The Enniscorthy team defended very well with defenders Lohi, Dave Simmons, Andrew Graham and William Durnan. As well as some great saves from Graham Hill. The team attacked many short corners and were unlucky to not score. The Pembroke team came back and got their scores. The Enniscorthy Men will come back more determined to win next week in their second league match.

Well done to all team and management ! Let’s see what next week brings !! 💜🤍🏑

Weekend Round-Up 🏑

A great weekend out for the club ! ✨

The L1s took on Genesis with a result of 0-0 meaning they are upholding their unbeaten streak in the league. The team worked hard against a strong Genesis side to keep the score sheet clean, with great defensive work all round. Especially from Hannah Graham, Cora O’Donnell and Anna Dunne in goal !

The L2s then took on Clontarf resulting in a scoreline of 8-0. The girls went out to make their mark in the first league match of the season and they did just that. There was excellent teamwork shown and this budding team are only starting !! There were goals from Eabha Doyle, Siofra Morris, Rebecca Doyle and Ruth Fenlon who marked her senior debut with an amazing goal !

The men’s side of the club took on Wicklow in a friendly match prior to their first league match next week.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this amazing weekend, and thank you to the opposing teams for travelling and great matches. Clontarf Hockey Club Genesis Hockey Club

🏑 L1s Start Promotion Campaign with a Win! 💜🤍

Our Lady’s, Terenure 1–2 Enniscorthy HC

What a start for our L1s! 🙌 The team travelled to Terenure on Saturday and came away with all three points after a hard-fought 2–1 victory.

After a strong opening quarter, Our Lady’s took the lead against the run of play. The response was immediate, with Katie Ashmore brilliantly deflecting Becca Ogilvie’s short-corner strike into the top corner to level the score. 🔥

Enniscorthy continued to control possession and created plenty of chances before Niamh Ogilvie calmly finished into the bottom corner following fantastic build-up play from Olive Lett and Leah Kidd to make it 2–1. 💪

The final quarter saw intense pressure from the hosts, but the EHC defence stood firm. Anna Dunne and the back four were outstanding, with Cora O’Donnell making a crucial goal-line save to secure the win! 🧤👏

A fantastic team performance full of character, attacking quality and defensive resilience. 💜

They also sported our new away jerseys for the first time ! Thank you to our sponsors Hill Agri Adam Hill and Killowen Farm !! Killowen Farm
