3 different days and 3 different riders. Mirnah is getting a great start to her education as she
✴️Develops her flat work
✴️ Is ridden in different environments
✴️ Ridden by different riders
✴️ Improves her approach and balance to jumps
✴️ Gets introduced to a variety of XC elements

She is a sweet mare that is taking everything in her stride. She was an excellent and easy broodmare, starting her ridden career earlier this year at 8 😳 it can be daunting but she seems to be loving it 🎉🎉🎉
The fact that she's with a great bunch of girls helps immensely 🔥 26/06/2025

Getting a great start to her education 🤩

Her first career was a brood mare and she has left us 3 quality geldings on the ground, all hassle free!

She always went in foal first time to the stallion, always foaled herself and she even fed other foals along with her own 💞 she's super sweet to young foals and young children 👶

Now onto phase two....

We started her ground work in January, backed her in February/March and at the end of April she went on lease...

Look at her now 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Couldn't be prouder 😊

Long-lining Mirnah and CeannDana 😁

Builds Trust and Communication: It helps the pony learn to respond to subtle cues, such as pressure on the lines or verbal commands.
We have been working on walk/halt/walk transitions & encouraging them to develop the confidence to walk ahead

Develop muscle: especially in the back and hindquarters. We are lucky to have loads of hills, bog and various terrain for use in their training

Desensitise: Long-lining helps desensitise to different stimuli, such as sounds, sights, and equipment Our ponies become familiar with dogs, quads, sheep and cars through long lining, which will make hacking out safer

Build Confidence: It allows the pony to build confidence in their abilities, especially when introducing them to new activities such as walking through water ( our goal the last day we were out with these two ladies 🌊) or working in different environments

Improve Safety: Long-lining can be a safer way to introduce young ponies to work under tack 27/02/2025
