Thank you to everybody that has contributed to the 42 Challenge! The build is starting this Monday. We will keep you updated.
Ciaran and Shauna turn the sod on our 400m track development!
Our construction is about to start this Monday and it was fitting that the sod-turning dignitaries were Ciaran Cannon and Shauna Bocquet at the weekend. Shauna and her dad Loic spear-headed a fund-raising campaign for the 400m track last Autumn raising over €49000 in the process for the track, with Ciaran contributing over €7000 of that in a charity cycle. Ciaran has also been instrumental in advising the club on many successful grant applications towards our facility development in the past few years.
There will be some disruption to the facilities available for use during construction and we will post updates on that here.
The construction to tarmacadem level will be done by local contractor Seamus Coleman / Coleman Plan & Civil Ltd and will start this Monday 17th May.

Thanks to Shauna, her parents and all the team, everyone at Craughwell AC my sprint brothers and for everyone who supported me from donations to the encouragment from all my friends 🙌 🙏. Big thanks to my family to my kids Emma Paddy and Tom who all got up very early on their midterm break to join on different mornings and especially my wife T for listening to my alarm at 3.30am each day x. Im delighted to have supported Shauna in her ..its easy to get up and run but to not many of us have Olympic talent..Shauna has that talent..so lets get this track built for Shaunas Olympic dream and all the other future stars.
