The Magpies kicked off their league campaign last Saturday against the South Dublin Swans!
The women's team were the early ball up and the game did not disappoint! The Swans took an early lead in the first quarter, but the Magpies fought back, with the lead changing hands several times throughout the match. At full-time, there was nothing to separate the two teams - easily a contender for match of the season!
The men's team fielded 7 new recruits and fought hard against the Swans, who scored a flurry of goals early on. Although the Magpies showed plenty of fight, the Swan's lead was insurmountable. But there were plenty of positives to take from the game as our new recruits got plenty of game time. 💪
