Reminder to register for the IJA Level 1 Assistant Coach Course❗🥋
Dates:
Day 1 & Day 2 - 22nd & 23rd April 2023 – in person at venue
Day 3 – Zoom Classroom session, participants split into two groups, 6th May 2023 or 20th May 2023 (Coach Developer will assign Zoom Session accordingly with participants)
Day 4 – Practical Session – in person at venue, participants split into two groups, 28th May 2023 or 11th June 2023 (Coach Developer will set up

Course Fee: €175.00
The aim of the course is to provide coaches with the ability to coach participants in the sport of Judo in a safe, enjoyable and progressive way. The coach will have an all-round ability on which participants will practice and perform in the sport of Judo. The course covers 6 areas of coaching which will allow the assistant coach to provide specific assistance to players in those areas.
The closing date for registration is April 19th 2023 at 5pm.

Open Training and Randori Session🥋🍀
Team Athenry are hosting an open training and randori session this Saturday, March 26th at the Senshin Sport Centre in Athenry.
The training session is designed to help clubs prepare for the Irish Judo Club Challenge on the 2nd April 2022 (closing date Sunday 27th March).
The training & randori session is open to all competition players in Ireland. Team Athenry will run a short group warm up followed by structured randori rounds in age and weight bands.
Players will be encouraged to train with players from other clubs. Coaches are encouraged to attend and are welcome on the mat to help all players. Following the randori sessions there will be an open mat training format for players and coaches to use the mats and collaborate.

Whilst the full session will run from 2.45pm to 6pm. Younger players (last year Minors / Precadets) should only attend (be on the mat) for the first hour to an hour and a half only.
Mat Fee

Registration
We request that players and / or club coaches’ email [email protected] with rough numbers attending in advance so we can manage the numbers at the session accordingly. We will close registration once we reach capacity
Spectators
Team Athenry are not in a position to accommodate spectators but coaches are welcome on the mats.
