Some wounds are slow to heal - often linked to diabetes, vascular disease or radiation therapy - and can bring pain, infection and frustration. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) may support wound healing as an adjunct therapy, alongside standard medical care.
Wounds need oxygen to heal, but poor circulation can starve the area of it. Under pressure, oxygen dissolves into the blood plasma and reaches tissue that's usually difficult to supply. Outcomes vary between individuals.
To find out if HBOT could be right for you, speak to your healthcare provider or call OxyGeneration on 091 394 444.
