Sincere and heartfelt condolences to Eugene, Brian, Sharon, and Lillian, and to the extended Laheen and Potter families on the terribly sad passing of Anne.

Anne had a strong connection to the club through her family. Many of her grandchildren (Sean, Tim, Tommie, Mikey) are current players with the club, while her son-in-law, David Ruane, serves as the club treasurer.

Like all of Galway, everyone associated with Menlough GAA club were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Galway footballer and Moycullen clubman, Paul Clancy.

We offer our sincere condolences to Paul’s wife, Johanna, his children, Ellen and Finn, his mother Mary, his siblings, and all of his extended family, friends and teammates.

Paul made a hugely significant contribution to Gaelic football through his involvement with both Moycullen and Galway, winning two senior All Ireland titles with his county.

His passing will be felt by many across the GAA community. He will be remembered with great affection by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

And what a wonderful tribute by the Galway footballers on Sunday by not using the no.10 jersey which Paul famously wore in the 2001 final.

Junior C's made it 4 wins from 4 in the championship overcoming St.Brendans this evening in Menlough, the all important goal coming from Robert Lally.
