🌊 Swim Ireland 5 day Intensive Open Water Swim Camp - Sept 7th -11th 2026

Join the Swim Ireland Open Water Swim Camp at Crabpool Beach, Salthill from 7-11 September.
Whether you're new to open water swimming or looking to improve your skills, this 5-day intensive camp will help you build confidence, develop technique, and enjoy swimming safely in the great outdoors.

📅 Monday 7 September - Friday 11 September
📍 Crabpool Beach, Salthill

Session Times: 🏊 5:00pm – Children's Programme
🏊 5:45pm – Levels 1 & 2 (Beginners to swimmers who can swim 25m and float on their back)
🏊 6:30pm – Levels 3 & 4 (Confident swimmers able to tread water and swim 100m unaided, through to strong junior and adult swimmers)

What a great turnout we had Friday morning in Cappagh Park.
It was a Great Success and as part of a new Initative Active Cities Galway are carrying out walks across the city. Thank you to everyone that turned up and helped out on the morning. We are hoping to carry out this Walk Weekly at Cappagh Park at 11am over the coming weeks.

Buggy Buddies Doughiska & Ballybane – Autumn 2026 Term Now Open!

Looking to ease back into exercise after having a baby, while meeting other parents in a welcoming and supportive environment? 🌟

Buggy Buddies is back this autumn! This postnatal-friendly community physical activity programme is supported by Galway Sports Partnership through HSE funding and is ideal for:
✅ New mothers from six weeks postpartum
✅ Parents with babies and toddlers
✅ Anyone looking for a gentle and enjoyable way to get active and connect with others

Delivered by Airike Monahan from Baby Body Fit Galway, a qualified Postnatal Exercise Specialist, in collaboration with ARD Family Resource Centre and the Doughiska Ballybane Community Sports Hub.
