🏀 SCOTTISH BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION! 🏴Huge congratulations from everyone at the Galway Masters International Basketball Tournament to an absolute legend of our sport, Tom Campbell, on his richly deserved induction into the Scottish Basketball Hall of Fame 2026! From his roots coaching at Cumnock Academy to building a powerhouse programme at Marr College (winning 20 national titles!), and founding the incredible Troon Tornadoes, Tom's leadership has shaped generations of players. His illustrious career culminated in his appointment as Head Coach of the Scotland Senior Men's National Team in 2009. But to us in Galway, Tom is the ultimate definition of a master of the game. He holds a truly legendary status at our tournament, having attended and played in every single Galway Masters since we first tipped off back in 2011. Leading his Strathclyde team, Tom has completed a clean sweep of the tournament, winning titles across every age category he has competed in: over 40's🏆 Over 50s🏆 Over 60s🏆 Over 65s. Fresh off winning a South Ayrshire Lifetime Achievement Award and successfully defending a gold medal with Great Britain Over-70s in Greece this summer, taking his team to back-to-back European titles. Tom embodies everything that masters basketball is about: passion, longevity, excellence, and friendship. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of our Galway Masters family, Tom. Enjoy the celebrations with your family and the wider basketball community—no one deserves it more! 🥂👏
