Miriam Panachickal, age 11 from Claregalway and Aoibheann Seoighe, age 7, from The beautiful Aran Island of Inis Oírr both picked up medals for trying the hardest today in the kids 1pm Saturday class.

Our Black Dragon Junior “Student Of The Month” award for September was handed out on Saturday and the recipient was ten years old Keren Siju from Taylors Hill in the city.

The awards are based on attendance, technical improvement, manners & respect for the Instructors, fellow students and the gym in general.

Black Dragon Kickboxing - building character, confidence & respect in the West since 1996.

Sad to see our good friend and student Romain Framont leaving the gym as he heads off on his next adventure.

Romain has been training at Black Dragon for just over two years. In that time, he has competed regularly, earned his Red Belt and, most importantly, become part of the Black Dragon family, making some great, lifelong friends along the way.

Like many of our members who come from overseas, the lure of travelling is strong, and Romain has decided it’s time to explore new places and further his adventures. 🌍

It’s been a pleasure coaching you, Romain, and watching you progress. You’ll be missed by all of us, but wherever your travels take you, you’ll always have friends and a gym to come home to here in Galway.

Safe travels and the very best of luck with your next chapter.
