🏑 Weekend Match Round-Up 🏑
It was a long trip to Antrim on Saturday for our 1st team, who faced Randalstown in the first round of the Irish Challenge Cup. Having reached the final of the competition last season, the team were eager to progress through a tough away fixture — and that’s exactly what they did, coming away with a fantastic 3-1 win! 👏It was a brilliant team performance from a squad who have been training hard and thoroughly deserved the victory. Well done to the whole squad and management! 💪
Our 4th team secured another win in a nine-goal thriller against Kinvara 2s! Despite Kinvara taking an early lead, the girls pushed on to claim an impressive 6-3 victory. A special mention to Maebh Cooke, who netted four goals, with Riona Murtagh & Lilly Casby Lawless also getting their names on the scoresheet. 🥅
The 3rd/ ladies team also enjoyed success, securing a win over Athenry Swans. Elaine Hall found the net twice, while Emily McNicholas added another with a great finish from the baseline. Well done, ladies! 🙌
In the U16B League, both of our teams played their first games of the season. Team 1 came away with a 1-1 draw against Galway, with Adrianna Garavan getting on the scoresheet. Team 2 also put in a super performance but were unlucky to lose out to Kinvara. Plenty of positives to take into the next fixtures! 💚
Well done to all our teams in action over the weekend! Great effort, teamwork and results all round. 🏑
