🌸 Flowers of the ocean! Sea anemones are among the most beautiful and colourful creatures around here. Many species vary greatly in colour, and even within a single species, individuals can have strikingly different appearances - photos from our recent dives.

🪼On warm, calm days, like today currents and rising sea temperatures can bring blooms of jellyfish closer to shore, where they shimmer just beneath the surface like living glass.
Most of the species you’ll encounter around the Aran Islands are harmless to admire from a distance. However, a small number, including the compass jellyfish, can deliver a painful sting, so it’s always best to look, not touch.
