In my happy place, a clay court on a PG Tennis 🎾 holiday in KalimeraKriti with my pal Garrett Barry

What’s not to ❤️

Wow, what a sport tennis is!!

Thank you so much to World Tennis World Tennis Academy & Education Tennis Kenya Klta for inviting me to present 3 on court sessions at the World Tennis Regional Conference in Nairobi.

The organisation and hospitality was first class as was the engagement from every coach there.

Madam President’s opening speech set the tone. Amongst her requests was to take the perception of African ‘potential’ and transform it into African Performance.

With invested coaches like those present, I see every reason that African Tennis can thrive when the players are given the opportunity to develop and flourish.

I made many new friends and am genuinely missing everyone already.

Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️

What a brilliant weekend working with the coaching team at the fantastic Galway Lawn Tennis Club in 🇮🇪

I love what they are looking to build there under the stewardship of Garrett Barry

A clear vision and plan to help their players not only contribute to the club but also their province and country. The sky is the limit when people work together for a higher cause than themselves.

We did 5 on-court sessions which were all videoed and the coaches received a bespoke written resource covering everything we covered.

I also had the pleasure of working with 8 parents around the principles I use to help parents create a healthy way to navigate through the topsy turvy world of junior player development.

This is exactly the type of work I love doing in what feels like the last main chapter of my career. Cultural development feels like the right challenge at this point.

If this sounds like something you’d like to hear more about then reach out to me.

I’m looking forward to returning to Galway.

Proud parents. Our boy got top goal scorer for the season on 19 goals and they finished top of their league.

New resource added to The Tennis Coach Lounge.

I’ve created a 16-page document exploring The Intervention Scale:

Sugar → Lemon → Lemon-Aid → Medicine → Surgery

It’s a framework to help coaches think more carefully about how they intervene, how feedback lands with the player, and when the moment calls for praise, encouragement, correction, a micro-stop or something more substantial.

The full resource is now inside the Lounge resource library.@

Link in bio to join.

It will be the best investment you make for your self development, your business and ultimately your players.

Great to spend time with PG Tennis and Tom (no insta as he has too much sense and class)

Was great to work with the coaching team at the beautiful Putney Lawn Tennis Club

A proper tennis club in the heart of Putney. The vast majority of members walk and cycle to the club. A real community feel.

Well done to Nick Hatchett on leading the team so well.

What a club is. Fantastic spending the day with Matthew Healy and his players. Sessions on clay, hard and grass in one day 👌

Thank you for making me feel so welcome.
