Are Aifric and Fiona the only Galwegians to win an Olympic medal? I’m pretty sure they were. I was so gutted for them this year.
She’ll be talking about it at TEDxGalway this year.
Absolutely elated to announce Olympic Rowing medalist Aifric Keogh as our headline speaker for TEDxGalway on Thursday 14 November at the Town Hall Theatre. Aifric will be speaking about her experiences at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 and the highs and lows of elite level sport.
To our knowledge Aifric, and her crew-mate Fiona Murtagh, are the only Galwegians ever to win an Olympic medal and we are truly honoured to welcome her to our stage.
