Loch Lurgan AC's finest run with Ciara!!

As part of the 123.ie National Senior Track & Field Championships today, each club was invited to nominate two juvenile athletes to represent their club in a special on-track celebration with Ciara Mageean. This special event celebrated Clara's achievements in Athletics from National to European level to the Olympics and World stage. Ciara is a huge inspiration to so many people and to so many of our young athletes.

National finalists Abigail and Ollie represented Loch Lurgan AC at what was a very inspiring and emotional event. Thank you to Abigail and Ollie, we couldn't be prouder of you! ❤

Well done to Ollie who put in another brilliant performance yesterday at the Nationals in Tullamore. Yet another PB in the sprint, 12th in Ireland! Just shy of his long jump PB, Ollie never fails to perform well and continues to gain confidence. Achieving a PB at the Nationals is fantastic, we are all so proud 👏 👊🙌 A well deserved rest now for the summer!

This morning we had our last session before our summer break! Lots of fun and games, water balloon relays, hurdle competitions and of course the obligatory ice creams at the end! A big thank you to all our athletes for coming to training every week and to all our coaches who plan and run the sessions. The summer will fly by and we will be back at it in a few short weeks!!

A special mention to all the dads today, hoping you all have a lovely fathers day!!
