⚽ Cregmore-Claregalway F.C. Soccer Academy is back! 🔴⚫

Our new season starts on Saturday, 5th September, at Carnmore Astro and Claregalway Secondary School.

The academy is about much more than learning football skills—it’s a place where children can have fun, make new friends and feel part of our local football community.

New players of all abilities are very welcome, with groups available for boys and girls from U6 to U11.

We would like to extend our sincere sympathies to Caroline, Noel, Dean, Kyle, Halle Hurney, the Fahy and Kearney families on the passing of Caroline's beloved mother Kathleen. May she rest in peace.

As the new season gets underway, we want to wish all our Cregmore Claregalway FC teams, players, coaches and volunteers the very best for the season ahead.

A big congratulations from everyone at Cregmore Claregalway FC to two of our lead coaches, Will Greer, who coaches our U21 team, and Tony O’Halloran, who coaches our U17 Premier team, on completing Block 1 of their UEFA C Licence coaching journey. ⚽️📚

It’s great to see both lads investing in their own development and continuing to build their coaching knowledge and experience.

We’re delighted to support them on their journey and look forward to seeing the experience and ideas they bring back into the club and, most importantly, into the development of our players.

Congratulations to Laura McHugh from our U15 and U16 teams who won her first Irish cap today for the Ireland U15's.
This will hopefully be the first of many caps Laura will win representing her country. Her work ethic and willingness to listen and improve really stands to her. Her club is very proud of her and what she has achieved to date and look forward to many more days like this. Ireland beat Croatia 5-0.

A big shout out to some of our incoming u11 boys who travelled to westport today to take part in the annual u12 Duffy cup tournament competing up a year against teams from mayo, galway and further afield. After a great start in the group stage vs westport 'covies' the boys ending up losing the first game. Wins followed against mervue and snugboro and the boys qualified for the cup quarter final. In a close fought game v westport B our lads came out on top in a tense penalty shoot out. 3/3 pens scored with great strikes from frankie troute, elliott roche and jamie mullaney before a heroic save from our keeper matthew burke that sent the boys through to the semi final. The boys lost out to a strong westport A side in the end but battled superbly. A great day out and the boys enjoyed a well earned supermac on way home. Big thanks to Pat duffy and the tournament organisers and we will return again next year. ⚽🔴⚫⚽

🏆🔴⚫ CUP CHAMPIONS! 🔴⚫🏆

A massive congratulations to our Cregmore Claregalway O35 Women, who are the Division 2 Cup Champions! 🏆

In a fiercely fought final against a very tough West United side, there was nothing between the teams after a tremendous battle. The Cup had to be decided from the penalty spot — and our girls held their nerve to win the shootout 5–3! ⚽🔥

A fantastic display of determination, teamwork and character from the whole squad, and a brilliant way to claim our first Cup of the season! 🏆

Congratulations to all the players and coaches, and well done to West United on a great final.
