Finally getting round to put a post up about the 17th Irish Long Distance Swimming Association swimming awards that we attended recently in Killaloe.

What an amazing and inspirational room...the number of medals, certs, Guinness world records and awards that were presented was exceptional. Each winner had such a unique story to tell.

We were delighted to be able to be a sponsor again this year and it was great to see so many of the swimmers we supported on their Galway Bay swims this year and to give them their Swim Charts as part of todays celebration.

Congratulations to all the Irish Triple Crown recipients for 2025 and a huge high five to both Therese Molyneux and who took on doing 2 Way Galway Bay swims as part of their journeys to the Irish Triple Crown.

Thank you to the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association for a fun event and thank you to all the volunteers who put so much work during the season ratifying swims, posting content onto social and the the culmination in a professionally run event that truly rewards and takes the time to recognise everyone's achievements.

It was lovely to see SWIM EIRE team being recognised for the amazing circumnavigation swim of Ireland last year, and a great interview with Daragh and Dara.

Congratulations to for winning the Margaret Smith award and on winning the John Earls which we were sponsors of this year.

Finally a congratulations to ,for a great job as MC.

Congrats to Margot Caball-Powell on her swim swim across Galway Bay on Friday. It was a challenging swim and Margot took it on with a smile and tenacity.

Margot was ably supported by her husband who has his own lengthy CV of marathon swims and who was both responsible for managing feeds as well as ensuring the right tunes were being played to keep the spirit up.

A shout out to pilot who kept the line straight despite the westerly wind and observor .

The lovely warm welcome by the community at Blackrock Diving Tower Blackrock Diving Tower Community and Paddy McNamara is always appreciated.

The swim is subject to ratification by the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association
