A huge thanks to everyone who showed up to race today in Knockma. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and are proud of the fact you raced the Hill!
Also to the team without whom this event wouldn't take place. The Tri Lakes members who get up at 6am to set up transition, to register athletes, marshal the course and make sure there's apple pie! Well done guys on the effort put in.
Also thanks to Tesco Headford for supplying the refreshments. Core for the timing. The National parks and Wildlife Service for the use of the wonderful Hill at Knockma. The Civil Defence for the ambulance and medics. Tuam Gardai for the blue lights. Caherlistrane GAA for the use of the hall
Thank you all so much!!

The course takes a left at 5.0km followed by a straight run to a sharp left at 9.8kms. Run Routes for the race:
The first 5km run is a circular route of the iconic Knockma hill. The terrain has a mix of macadam, surfaced trail and solid forest trail with beautiful scenery throughout. The first 2km are uphill with a flatter section on top followed by a technical downhill decent into transition.
The final 2.6km run is a flat circular route with a mix of macadam, surfaced trail and solid forest trail.
Trail runners are recommend but not essential.
