PURPLE REIGNS
Last night we made the short trip to the Celtic Ross Hotel for the annual South West Rowing Awards Night and Dinner Dance.
We went with high hopes, knowing that after our most successful season in recent times, we had secured 5 championships. The more mathematical astute members of our club reckoned that we were in the shake up for the Teddy Burns, Underage Club of the year.
But never in our wildest dreams, did we expect to take the top honour, The Celtic Ross Club of the Year.
This is the ultimate accolade for the hard working members of our club; our coaches, our rowers, our parents. To those who helped to organise 3 regattas this season, to those who brought Coastal Rowing to a whole new audience this year and to those who helped in any way to make our club what it is today.
To the community of Rosscarbery and the surrounding areas, thank you for your support and assistance, this award is as much for you as it is for the club.
