Today was my last Postnatal class with Max 🥹 Swipe to see us at our very first one together last December ➡️
I transitioned back into our regular classes last month, but I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to Postnatal.
So today, I manipulated Max’s nap to squeeze in one last hurrah with the crew I’ve trained alongside for the past 8 months.
I've always been biased about our Postnatal classes. But now I know just how good they are.
There is something so special about a room of women at the same stage of life.
Sharing stories, laughing at the chaos, and watching the babies grow up alongside each other.
I ran these classes for eight years as a non-mam. Then, at 44, I got to experience them from the other side as a first-time mam.
I frickin loved it!
These are not just Mam & Baby classes. They are classes for MAM.
You can bring your baby, of course. But the class is designed around the woman in the room.
It is an hour for her.
To feel like herself again.
To feel capable and empowered.
To rebuild her strength, physically and mentally.
Because becoming a mam is a huge part of who you are. But it isn’t all that you are.
Postpartum women are not fragile or broken either.
Our bodies have been through pregnancy, childbirth, and major surgery in many cases. So yes, recovery matters. But our job isn’t to keep women wrapped in bubble wrap.
It's to help them recover, rebuild and prepare for real life again.
The sessions are strength-based and progressive. So, when I moved back into our regular Strength & Fitness classes last month, I was ready.
I feel strong and capable in my body again.
With a 10-month-old, nearly 10kg Max to carry every day, I can’t imagine motherhood without the strength I've rebuilt.
It's been a wonderful experience sharing this phase of life with a brilliant group of women and their babas. I’ll miss the classes, the chats, and all the babas.
But as the saying goes… everything is a phase.
Here’s hoping our paths cross again in one of the next ones.

P.S. Our next Postnatal groups start next week. If you’re a new mam who wants to feel stronger, more capable and a little more like yourself again, you’d be very welcome.
