DEVELOPMENT TEAM OF THE WEEK | ACADEMY & SMALL-SIDED SECTION ❤️🖤

Congratulations to the 11 young players selected in our Development Team of the Week following the fixtures played over the weekend of 19th and 20th September.

At these age groups, our focus is on much more than results. The selections recognise players who demonstrated qualities such as effort, improvement, teamwork, bravery on the ball, listening, positive attitude and enjoyment of the game.

A huge well done to all of the players who took part over the weekend, and to the coaches and families who continue to support their development.

Keep learning, keep enjoying your football and keep representing the Club with pride.

Competitive Team of the Week

TEAM OF THE WEEK | COMPETITIVE SECTION ❤️🖤

Congratulations to all 11 players selected in our Newbridge United Competitive Team of the Week following the fixtures played over the weekend of 19th and 20th September.

There were outstanding performances across the Club, including some remarkable attacking contributions:

⚽ Ben O’Dowd produced an astonishing display, scoring an incredible 11 goals for our Senior Division 3 team.

⚽⚽⚽ Aaron Murphy struck a superb 20-minute hat-trick for our U17 Premier side.

⚽⚽🅰️🅰️🅰️ Robbie Gallagher delivered a brilliant all-round performance for the U15 Major team, contributing two goals and three assists.

Well done to every player selected.

Congratulations to all of our players and teams who represented Newbridge United over the weekend.

📅 Newbridge United Fixtures | Weekend of 19th & 20th September

A busy weekend ahead across the club, with our youth, girls and senior teams all in action at Corrigan Park, Chapel Lane and venues across Kildare.

From our youngest players through to our senior sides, there is plenty of football to enjoy—including National Cup, LFA and league action.

Best of luck to every player, coach and team representing Newbridge United this weekend. Support is always appreciated, so get along to a game where possible and get behind the teams.

Special Guest Session | U12 Premier

Our U12 Premier squad enjoyed a fantastic opportunity this week when Shamrock Rovers defender Daniel Cleary visited Corrigan Park to deliver a special training session.

Daniel is an experienced League of Ireland defender who came through Liverpool’s Academy before spells with Birmingham City, Dundalk and St Johnstone. He joined Shamrock Rovers in 2022 and has since been part of three League of Ireland title-winning squads.

Daniel put the boys through an excellent technical session, sharing his experience, demonstrating different aspects of the game and challenging the players throughout.

The squad responded brilliantly and were fully engaged despite the difficult weather, making the most of a memorable opportunity to learn from a top-level professional.

A huge thank you to Daniel for giving his time so generously and for the positive way he worked with every player.

A brilliant experience for the boys and one they will remember. ⚽️👏

This Sunday, our Senior First Team take on St Anthony’s Youths in the Lumsden Cup Semi Final.

This is a huge occasion for Newbridge United FC and one of the biggest games in the club’s history. A place in the final is on the line, and the lads would love to see as much Newbridge support as possible there on the day.
