With their 6-1 win today, Clonmullion have won the senior division.

Moone Celtic let an early 3-0 lead slip at home to Coill Dubh and only drew 4-4. They are now relegated from the senior division. Their second team are 15 points off safety in Division 2 and it looks like it could be a season to forget for the south kildare club.

Wow. Hard to believe Old Fort Celtic lost to Leixlip over 35s tonight. Absolutely gobsmacked. Fair play to Leixlip.

Who are the most successful club in Kildare? Not just since the league was formed but in the history of Kildare clubs? Suncroft, Kildare Town, Coill Dubh, Castle Villa etc...?

Hard luck to Dunlavin today, who are bottom of Division 3 and 40 places below Arlington.

Arlington AFC produced a devastating attacking performance to book their place in the next round of the Lumsden Cup, hitting double figures in a dominant 10–0 win away to Dunlavin AFC.

The scoring began early, with Alex Dunne powering in a header from a corner in the 6th minute. Zack Whelan doubled the lead in the 22nd after a clever assist from Robbie McNeill, before Dunne grabbed his second of the morning with a long-range strike in the 27th.

Arlington’s fourth came through James Haberlim, who combined superbly with Whelan on the right wing in the 33rd minute. Ian Higgins then made it five from the penalty spot five minutes later.

After the break, Olumide Solanke stole the spotlight with a well-earned hat trick, scoring in the 47th, 68th, and 77th minutes. Robbie McNeill found the net in the 78th before Zack Whelan wrapped up the scoring with his second of the day in the 89th minute.

It was a complete team display in challenging weather, with Arlington showing composure, movement, and clinical finishing throughout.

Poaching seems to be a huge issue in Kildare at the moment but an issue that nobody is allowed speak about for fear they will get their own club in trouble. It's absolutely rife at the moment and the parents are as much to blame as the clubs.
The underhanded way some clubs go about poaching these teenagers from clubs is disgraceful. Basically a club will ask a parent to speak to another parent to try encourage their kid to join the club. This way they are protected because the player was not approached directly by the club. There are clubs that have been around for donkeys years currently getting gutted by clubs who suddenly have a large pool of players and volunteers in areas getting built up. The sooner someone comes out and calls it as it is then the sooner there might be some sort of spotlight put on it. Its been poisonous for years in Dublin and now its in Kildare.
