A proud evening for Evolve ⚽👏

Five players from our Girls’ Development Centre attended an invited training session with CK United Thursday night.

Brilliant to see the girls getting this opportunity, taking on a new challenge and continuing their football development.

Thank you to CK United for welcoming them along. Well done, girls! 💙💛

Some girls arrive with years of football behind them.

Others are taking their first steps.

They do not all need the same challenge but every player deserves an environment that meets her at the right level. 💗⚽

Inside the Evolve Girls Development Centre, players are grouped by age and development stage across three groups:
⚽ Ages 6–8
⚽ Ages 9–11
⚽ Ages 12–13

The sessions provide opportunities to:
⚽ Build confidence with the ball
⚽ Learn and apply individual skills
⚽ Make decisions under pressure
⚽ Play with and against other girls
⚽ Make mistakes, recover and try again
⚽ Enjoy an additional hour of focused development

The programme complements a player’s existing club football. No previous experience is required.

Before building a development plan, you have to understand the team in front of you.

This week marked the beginning of a new six-week Evolve Team Development Programme.

Week one was about establishing the baseline:

⚽ The players’ current level
⚽ Their confidence with the ball
⚽ How they respond to pressure
⚽ The different needs within the group
⚽ The existing coaching environment
⚽ The clearest development priority

From there, we can build one focused six-week progression not simply deliver six separate sessions.

The programme provides:

⚽ A clear development outcome
⚽ Six progressive sessions
⚽ TacticalPad diagrams and practical coaching guidance
⚽ Adaptations for different player needs
⚽ Weekly coach-support conversations
⚽ On-pitch delivery, observation and review

The club coaches remain central throughout.

Evolve provides direction, practical structure and ongoing support helping coaches develop their players while building a process they can continue using beyond the programme.

If your team would benefit from a structured development plan, message TEAM SUPPORT.

A complete player is more than a collection of techniques.

Inside the same football practice, a coach can help develop:
⚽ Confidence - the willingness to keep trying
⚽ Competence - the ability to perform under pressure
⚽ Communication - helping and organising teammates
⚽ Creativity - finding different solutions
⚽ Character - reacting, recovering and going again

The practice provides the problem.

The coach shapes the experience through the challenge provided, the freedom allowed, the feedback given and the behaviours reinforced.

Inside the Evolve Coaching Room, this week’s module brings Season 3 together by exploring how we develop the complete player, not only the football action.

Confidence is not something a young player must already have before joining.

It is something that can grow through repeated positive experiences. 💗⚽

A welcoming first session.

Time with the ball.

Challenges that are difficult but achievable.

Encouragement after mistakes.

Opportunities to play, make decisions and try again.

That is what we are continuing to build inside the Evolve Girls Development Centre.

Players are grouped by age and development stage across our three groups:
⚽ Ages 6–8
⚽ Ages 9–11
⚽ Ages 12–13

No previous football experience is required, and new players can attend their first session free before deciding whether to continue.

A new Evolve Academy environment began in Fethard tonight. ⚽

Thirty-six boys and girls joined us for our free opening session at Fethard GAA Club Astro.

The players were grouped by age and development stage, allowing each group to experience an appropriate mixture of:
⚽ Individual ball contact
⚽ Skills and movement
⚽ Decisions and challenges
⚽ Small-sided games
⚽ Competition and enjoyment

Tonight was about allowing families to experience the environment before deciding whether the weekly programme is right for their child.

Thank you to every player and family who joined us, and to everyone in Fethard who helped us reach a full opening session.

Details of the next block will be sent directly to participating families.

The opening session was full, with a waiting list also in place. Anyone interested in future availability can join the waiting list through the link in the comments.

A strong beginning. Plenty to build on.

Think The Game.
