BERLIN MARATHON 2026

Performed & Delivered 💪

Congratulations to Ian Cullen, John Raggett & Rob Lee who took to the streets internationally for the 2026 Berlin Marathon 🏃‍♂️, and also to their sidekick & race reporter Dean 📸

With more than 56,000 runners taking part in very hot conditions,the lads tucked themselves into comfortable paces to see out the 42.2km with incredible performances and PB's.

Flying the club colours this weekend in Dublin, for the Dublin City Half Marathon was our lovely Ethel Murphy Corr. Ethel has been training hard putting in the miles the last couple of months in her build up to Dublin City Marathon next month.
With training on track and feeling great on Sunday, she put in an incredible run and came out with a PB, shaving 1min 17secs off her last half marathon time.
Congratulations Ethel on a super run 🏃‍♀️ 👏 💪

Not even the wind & rain can hold these two ladies back, Joan Holland & Ethel Murphy Corr were out in force again and took to the streets of Kilkenny on Saturday taking part in the Kilkenny Medieval 10k.

The Weekend Round Up 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

GOWRAN 4 MILE - Friday:
On Friday evening we had the double duo Joan Holland & Ethel Murphy Corr take to the village of Gowran to run the Gowran AC 4 miler. These 2 ladies are always on for a local run with chats n smiles for everyone (so much chatting they even had to get the last 🚌 back 😄)

RONIN CHALLENEGE 93.4km - Saturday:
On Saturday then we had club member Deirdre O Brien take to the Waterford Greenway as she joined her workplace team, Journi Credit Union in the Ronin Challenge where they covered a distance of 93.4km between them, coming in 7th position out of 22 team entries 💪

Well done to everyone who ran this weekend whether it was in an event or training miles fir upcoming events 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Best wishes to everyone running in the Gowran AC 4 miler tonight 💪🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Gowran 4Mile Friday 4th September 2026, online registration closing on Thursday night 11pm. On the day registration is open from 5.30pm at Gowran Parish Hall, with the race off at 7pm down in the village. Refreshments for all in Connollys after the race, with shuttle bus available to bring runners back to Gowran. A great evening of running, chats and craic guaranteed ☺️
