A busy weekend of running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
& no better way to start the shout outs than with the boss woman herself & coach Adele.

LONGFORD MARATHON:
This incredibly inspiring lady & coach headed to Longford this morning for the Longford Marathon & while we all wished her the best of luck she went up and tore the streets of Longford apart coming in with a superb time of 2hrs 56mins and taking the position of 1st lady home 💪🏃‍♀️🏅

PINK RUN, KILKENNY:
Also today we had the ladies of the club head to Kilkenny for the Pink Run 8k & 4km. They battled through the torrential 🌧, finished in the ☀️ and all had smiles from start to finish.

TULLAMORE HALF MARATHON:
Next up we had club members head to the Tullamore Half Marathon on Saturday, where there were PBs and very strong runs all round. They also battled through torrential 🌧 and had the ☀️ shine.
Some of them even ran so fast that the timing chip didn't pick them up 😎💪

A great weekend of running all round for the club in parts of the country taking part in events and training runs.

Congratulations to all who took part in today's South Kilkenny Run 10k & 5k events.

Shout out to Anna Walsh & Dee O Brien who are on the organising committee, to Ethel Murphy Corr who broke 60mins in her 10k 👏💪🏃‍♀️ and to all the rest of our club members who ran and walked with family & friends 👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️☀️

On Saturday we had some club members run the very first Abbott Festival of Running in conjunction with Kilkenny City Harriers.

Out in force we had Sean Connery (aka 007) and this man is like a fine wine, he is getting better with age 💪. Sean took on the 10k event and ran an incredible time of 35.26
Next up with had the double duo, Ethel Murphy Corr & Joan Holland who also done the 10k event. Ethel had an incredible run and is also currently training hard for Dublin City Marathon while her sidekick Joan had another great run and we have no doubt she is already signed up to another event next weekend.

Well done to everyone who took part 👏 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Today we had these two inspirational ladies take to the streets of Athy.
Ethel Murphy Corr took on the half marathon and pulled out a powerful performance, not only coming home with a PB but also shaving off an incredible 13mins from her last half marathon 💪
Joan Holland took on the 10km and again put in a very strong performance and no doubt smiled the whole way round 💪
Congratulations to both and we hope they are having a few well earned glasses of 🍷 tonight
