Our U8 girls finished off a long season in style and sunshine on Saturday! They did the club proud in a home blitz against Kilmacow, Conahy and John Lockes.

Days like Saturday are important for our club and could not of happened without some of U12 and U14 girls who acted as referees and also the parents who volunteered with refreshments and treats.

A big thank you to all the players, coaches, parents and supporters for all their effort and support throughout the season.

A huge well done to our under 14s, who put in a brilliant performance in the County Final against the Rower Inistioge.

The girls played absolutely fantastic and were ahead for most of the game and were very unlucky to be beaten in the end with only one puck of a ball separating the two teams at 2-3 to 2-5. The girls should hold their heads very high after showing incredible determination, grit and resilience, fighting hard to the final whistle.

After a fantastic year reaching the league and championship finals, this team has loads more great days ahead of them.

The camogie commitee would like to say a huge thanks to the girls' brilliant coaches and backroom team; Noel Hickey, Noel Lahart, Orla McCormack, James Moylan, Andrew O'Neill and Elaine Hickey on first aid. The girls really enjoyed every training session, all the matches and the fantastic atmosphere and camaraderie created around this special team. And a huge thanks has to go to their parents for their great commitment all year.

Well done, girls - we couldn’t be prouder of you
