🇵🇪We would like to take this opportunity to officially inform the St.Canices Community and the wider public that our search for a new management team to take us into the KDL premier division 2023/2024 is over.🇵🇪

🇵🇪 A nervous feeling fell on the club when the news broke that our management team of Eddie Clifford and Micheal Clifford had taken the decision to step down for the foreseeable future. Both Eddie and Micheal have dilevered unprecedented success to the club and we are forever greatfull..Over the last 6-7 weeks we have worked very hard as a club to bring a new management team together, who would understand the core values of St.Canices.🇵🇪

🇵🇪A management team that would understand what the club means to the wider community and the supporters who are the best in the league. Eddie Clifford gave us his recommendation on who he believed to be the ideal candidate and we pursued that particular individual.🇵🇪

🇵🇪After several conversations with Eddie McEvoy it was clear he was the perfect replacement. Eddie McEvoy has named Oisin Corr as his assistant coach and we are now ready to move on. The 1st squad meeting was held in St.Canices Hall last Friday night and there is a buzz already around the players.🇵🇪

🇵🇪Pre season training starts next Tuesday evening in the Waterbarricks and the Saints go marching on.🇵🇪

🇵🇪We would like to thank the supporters, sponsors and everyone at the club who have been behind us for the great success we've achieved since we were formed just 3years ago. 🇵🇪

🇵🇪We are now at the top table and we look forward to welcoming the top clubs in Kilkenny to the Waterbarricks.. we will need your support for the coming season and if anyone feels like they have any time that might benefit the club please contact us for this is a community driven club and we will find a role that suits you.🇵🇪

Everyone here at St. Canices FC are saddened by the news that Michael and Eddie have decided to step down as management. As you all know Michael and Eddie have been the heart and sole of this team the last three years and have led the boys to numerous of victories given us all memories to last a lifetime. They have led us to Back to back doubles, winning Division 2 league, division 2 cup, Division 1 League, division 1 cup and getting to a leinster final and now we are up competing in the premier with the best of clubs. They brought joy back into the Canices community and made the waterbarracks full again. We honestly can’t thank you both enough for everything you’ve done over the last three years and I could be writing all night to explain how much you both meant to this club. We want to wish the both of you the best of luck with your new journey and will look forward to seeing you both on the other side of the fence cheering the lads on. 🇲🇨🇲🇨

As the saying goes one chapter closes another opens. St. Canices FC will still go marching on and are currently looking for someone to step up to manage these great bunch of lads. We are currently looking at potential candidates and The Saints will go marching on💪🏼

Congratulations to this amazing bunch of legends finishing off there great league campaign by winning the double and being crowned Divisonal cup champions. Just want to say a huge thank you to our players and management. It’s because of ye we have some great memories and many celebrations. Thank you to our committee and lastly a massive thank you to our supporters. You’ve been behind us whether we win or loose and thankfully we’re on the winning side tonight. Enjoy the celebrations tonight lads so well deserved.
