Starburst is back! 🥳🎭

The first week of classes literally went by in the blink of an eye.

It was great to see everyone after a long break and to welcome new students too. Everyone was delighted to be back together again after the summer break. The friendships that form in these classes is amazing.

Lots of new games, chants, activities in every class 🥰

We're looking for junior assistants to join our Starburst team! 🎬🎤🎭

If you're in Transition Year or aged 14-17 years and you are looking for something real to put on your CV or towards your Gaisce Award, this could be perfect for you.

You'll be working alongside us in our Starburst classes, helping our younger students, building real practical experience, working with children, leading small groups and developing communication and confidence skills.

If you're working towards your Gaisce, this role can count towards it too. So you're gaining genuine experience while ticking a real box and having a great time while doing it.

We're not looking for experience, just reliability, warmth with kids and someone who's up for getting stuck in. If you loved being part of a class like this yourself growing up, even better.

The best compliment we've heard in a while didn't actually come from a parent of a Starburst child. We don't think she was one anyway.

One of our speech and drama parents is a hairdresser. A client in her chair, a mum of four teenagers stop this parent in her tracks and said to "make sure Speech and Drama isn't one of the activities they drop"

The confidence that gets a child in the spotlight is the same confidence that walks them into a football trial. The quick thinking from an improv game shows up again in a school debate or an interview. The ability to handle a wobble in front of an audience becomes the ability to handle a mistake anywhere, in class, with friends, in life.

That's the bit people don't always see from the outside. It was never just an hour on a Tuesday. It's a skill set they take with them into every room they walk into.
