🏐💙 That’s a wrap for Firies Football Academy 2026! 💙🏐
Today we welcomed our U6 and U8 boys and girls for their final morning of Football Academy for 2026. We were missing our U10 boys, who were busy representing the club at a blitz in Cordal — we hope they had a brilliant day! 💪🏐
We finished off the year with a fantastic morning of football, games, fun and plenty of smiles. A great way to bring another brilliant Academy season to a close! 💙
As we wrap up for the year, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our Football Academy possible throughout 2026.
👏 To our coaches — thank you for the time, energy and commitment you give to our children week after week. From teaching football skills to organising games and keeping everyone entertained, the work you put in makes such a difference. We are incredibly lucky as a club to have such a dedicated group helping to develop and encourage the next generation of Firies footballers. 💙
To everyone who helped out throughout the year — whether it was organising and handing out fruit, setting things up, lending a hand on busy mornings or helping out in any way, big or small — thank you. It takes a team behind the scenes to make our Academy happen.
🍦 And a very special thank you to Peadar Keane, who kindly sponsored an ice cream for every child today. They certainly went down a treat and were the perfect way to finish off the morning! 👏🍦
Most importantly, thank you to all our young footballers and their families for turning up each week with such enthusiasm and making Saturday mornings at the Academy so enjoyable.
We hope everyone enjoyed the 2026 season as much as we did.
Enjoy the break and we’ll see you all again in 2027! 💙🤍
Firies Abú! 🏐💙
