A great win away to Finuge / St.Senan’s in the first round of the B championship

Thank you to all the girls and coaches who travelled Saturday morning to take part in the Munster LGFA U15 PDP blitz.

We had an early start as we were in Mallow for 9am, a great day was had by all.

16 MKL girls with the Mid & South Kerry PDP group. MKL, Milltown/Castlemaine, Laune Rangers, Beaufort, Cromane and Southern gaels.

All at MKL Gaels are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Tracy Eager. We would like to express our deepest condolences to Lia (Minor) and Lola Rose (u14) Walsh and all Tracy’s family and friends.

As a mark of respect all MKL Gaels activities have been suspended on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

Mkl Gaels got their intermediate campaign off to a perfect start this morning in Listry vs Abbeydorney

A blistering start which included a fast flow move from the throw in that saw Lily Clifford arrive at the right time to finish to the net, Further points from Caoimhe Evans, Erica McGlynn, Sarah Fitzgerald, Ciara Murphy and Chlodagh Evans had Mkl dictating the pace of this game before Abbeydorney opened their account with a pointed free from their No.14 Aoibhin Ferris before a sweatly struck strike on the arc from Erica McGlynn gave her the first official accolade of a 2pointer scored in championship by an Mkl player

Another flowing move started from defense by Mairead Lehane ended with Sarah Fitzgerald converting to the net for Mkls second goal
Abbeydorney converted 2 further points in the final quarter before half time converted by Aoibhin Ferris and No.12 Nicole O'Connor these were squeezed in between further mkl scores by Maebh Rochford, Seoladh Flynn to increase the spread of scores throughout the team to close out the half time score at

Abbeydorney needed a fast start to the second half but Mkl didn't take their finger off the pulse, Quick scores from Seoladh Flynn, Erica McGlynn, Ciara Murphy and Erin Evans set the second half trend, A pointed free No.14 Aoibhin Ferris got Abbeydorney second half under way before Mkl ran their bench
Another fast flowing move through the phases ended with Tirna Murphy converting a 3rd goal for Mkl
Mkl finished out the final 10mins with further scores from Caoimhe Evans and Sarah Fitzgerald squeezed in-between scores from No11 Grace Kearney and No6 Eve Costello to close out the game

Mkl now meet near neighbors Beaufort away next Sunday while Abbeydorney will have home advantage to Corca Dhuibne
