Following the Governments announcement and the recommendation from the G.U.I Ross Golf Course will be closed until 19th April. Please follow H.S.E advice re social distancing and hand washing and we’ll beat this virus and be back out on the courses again.

Owing to the continuing Covid19 crisis and going on advice from Government, H.S.E and G.U.I the following has been decided.
The M.D O'Shea Spring League has been deferred.
No further club competitions for the foreseeable future.
Seniors competitions on Thursdays cancelled.
The golf course will remain open until otherwise advised and casual golf is encouraged as a way for people to get out and about, exercise and enjoy fresh air. It is played in an outdoor setting where the risk of contacting Covid-19 is low.
When playing golf the following is recommended:
Bunker rakes should not be handled.
Leave the pin in the cup when putting and don't handle pin ( a ball lifter is recommended to remove the ball from the cup).
Handshakes should be avoided.
Maintain the recommended distance ( 6 feet ) from your playing partners.
Hand clean shoes and other equipment --- do not use compressor.
Groups having close and prolonged contact should be avoided.
Maintain safe distance in changing rooms and clubhouse.
So get out and enjoy your game but remain cognisant of the recommendations and keep yourself and your friends safe.
