Irish Open Ladies Pairs final is between Robyn Byrne and Katie Sheldon against Denise Cassidy and Lorraine Hyde

We’re down to the last four in the men’s Irish Open Pairs in Killarney. The semi-finals will see Damien Grimes and William O’Toole take on Garrett French and David Fatum while Killian McCormack and Dylan Quinn will play Liam Tobin and Jake Reenstierna.

What an opening day to the Killarney Darts festival here in the Gleneagle Hotel. The All Ireland Darts Championship was played to a tremendous standard and in an amazing spirit. A quick recap shows the Ladies Shield was won by the Deise Daisys team from Waterford, while in the Ladies Cup final the Vengagirls from Wexford defeated Carlow’s Hot Mess Express in a brilliant final that went all the way to the final game. Meanwhile in the men’s section, Carlow’s The Breakaways won the Shield, while Offaly 2 claimed the All Ireland cup with victory over The Amigos from Dublin. More pics of the winners to follow later.

A reminder of the check-in times for tomorrow folks. It’s an early one for the Open Pairs, with check-in between 9am-10-am and then games away from 11am. Check in for the Killarney Open singles is from 4-6pm with games away from 7pm.

So here we go! The 2025 Killarney Darts Festival is ready to kick off with the team event….the All Ireland Darts Championship. Best of luck everyone

Darts is a game of numbers. And these numbers show why the Killarney Darts Festival is one of the biggest and best in the world. The Irish Open is now the second biggest open in the world, not bad for our small little island. The preparations are almost done, and tomorrow we will welcome up to 1,000 players for a long weekend of top class darts and even better craic. Let the games begin....
