The best part of this gym? The people in it.
Every day you show up.
You work hard.
You encourage each other.
And somehow still leave smiling after doing things that werenโt easy.
That kind of consistency.
That kind of support.
That kind of loyalty.
It doesnโt happen everywhere.
I certainly donโt take it for granted. This community is the reason this gym feels different.

WHAT A BUZZ ๐
Wasnโt sure if I was in the gym or a nightclub this evening ๐ the place was buzzing !!! Everyone working hard, pushing their limits and smiles all round afterwards so thank you to everyone who came out this evening to try it out ๐๐ผ
A massive thank you to Ollie from for coming this evening and running the simulation, it was a great success ๐ and also the very best of luck with your first event next week in the Marina Market Cork. Be sure to follow and check them out if you are not yet doing so ๐๐ผ
Once Ollie has the first event out of the way we have a few plans for some more project 8 training at SOS Fitness so keep an eye on social media in the coming weeks for more news ๐๐

A little Throwback to this day 5 years agoโฆ ๐ ๏ธ๐
Gym unfinished, machine parts everywhere, and a whole lot of vision ๐
Fast forward to today and this gym is the hub of the community & somewhere Iโm proud to call my place of work (even at 5:30 in the morning ๐คฃ)
Full of energy, smiles, hard work, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it what it is ๐ฅโค๏ธ
So proud of how far itโs come, and even more excited for whatโs ahead.

Running Diaries ๐
Easy enough week in the books โ๏ธ
Coming off a busy bank holiday weekend, I reshuffled things a bit and pulled last weekโs long run into Monday, kicking the week off with a 20km ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Main session of the week was a 7km speed workout with intervals, then it was all about keeping things relaxed:
โข Easy 9km on the treadmill
โข Easy 11km this morning to wrap it up
Upping the recovery game with an ice tub + sauna ๐ง๐ฅ and, of course, coffee โ๏ธ
Plenty of recovery, body feeling good (week 4? ๐
), and ready to roll into next week where the mileage and long runs ramp up a bit more.
Really happy with how this week felt. Have a lovely weekend ๐

Quick reminder: Busy doesnโt mean youโve failed your training.
I had sessions planned over the bank holiday that didnโt happen. Instead of writing the week off, I adjusted the plan and carried one over to this week โ done today.
Thatโs how progress is built.
You donโt need perfect weeks.
You need flexible discipline.
๐ Things come up
๐ Schedules change
๐ Energy fluctuates
What matters is that you donโt disappear from your routine the moment life gets full.
Fitness isnโt about one week. Itโs about stacking weeks, months, and years of โI did what I couldโ effort.
Stay consistent, not perfect ๐

Weโre 4 weeks into the current block of classes and the effort has been ๐ unreal.
Stronger lifts. Better fitness. More confidence. More discipline. It shows.
But hereโs the truthโฆ
๐๐ก๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐ฒ.
Not motivation. Not โwhen I feel like it.โ
