Massive well done to 15 year old - Charlie O’Hora of Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club, who shot an exceptional round of -6 (66) earlier today 🔥🔥

This was during an outing for Donegal schools golf - where Charlie was representing St Columba’s College, Stranorlar. The competition was played off men’s white tees. Very well done Charlie 👏👏

Men’s Taylormade 5 wood with a red shaft was misplaced on the course on 11th September - the owner asks for it to be returned to the Golf Shop if it was found. Many thanks

Letterkenny Golf Club members Levent Faracli and Liam Timmiss have successfully progressed to the Creator Golf Classic Regional Finals. The pair will travel to the renowned former Ryder Cup venue, Celtic Manor Resort in Cardiff, Wales, on 1 October 2026 to compete for a place in the next stage of the competition.
Their journey to the regional finals has been an impressive one, having successfully navigated six rounds throughout the summer. Along the way, they travelled to venues including Bundoran Golf Club and Mayola Park Golf Club, taking on and overcoming strong opposition from across Northern Ireland.
Their most recent victory came on 23rd September 2026 at Letterkenny Golf Club, where they secured a hard-fought win on the 18th hole against a pairing representing Masserene Golf Club.
Should Levent and Liam emerge victorious in Cardiff, they will earn the opportunity to progress to the national finals in Vilamoura, Portugal, where they will compete against the remaining qualifiers from across the competition.
Everyone at Letterkenny Golf Club wishes Levent and Liam the very best of luck at Celtic Manor. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Letterkenny Golf Club are Donegal Scratch Matchplay Champions!

LKGC defeated Gweedore yesterday to win the Donegal Scratch League pennant.

Trailing 4-1 after the first leg, Cian Harkin secured a vital away win to keep Letterkenny in contention.

In the second leg at Barnhill, wins from Cian Harkin, Chris Duffy, Jamie Foley and Jack Patton brought the tie down to Darragh McMenamin’s match.

One down with two holes to play, Darragh chipped in for birdie on the 17th and won the 18th to secure the pennant for Letterkenny.

The team dedicated the victory to the late Ciaran Gilcreest, a long-time member of the team, who is no longer with us.

Squad: Cian Harkin, Michael Shiel, Chris Duffy, Darragh McMenamin, Jamie Foley, Jack Patton, Charlie Patton, David McGowan, David McCormick (Captain), Michael Bryce (Vice Captain) and Barry Ramsay (Vice Captain).

Congratulations to all involved.
