A positive result for Letterkenny Crusaders in their second-last league game, after a match that began with Swilly Rovers taking an early two-goal lead.
Crusaders responded well, with Filip Blaszczok and Tiarnan Connolly scoring to bring the sides level. Swilly moved ahead once more, but Crusaders continued to build momentum and produced a strong attacking response.
Filip and Tiarnan both added to their tallies, with Tiarnan completing a hat-trick. Filip also added further goals, while Anthony McGarrigle, Jack Robb and Josh Buchanan were all on the scoresheet for Crusaders.
Swilly remained competitive and continued to create opportunities, while Crusaders kept working hard and pressing forward.
A special mention to Jessie George-Gbagi and Max Bowden for their assists. Wishing Max well after leaving the match early; we are glad to hear he is home and doing well.
Lurgy Celtic are next as Crusaders wrap up their league campaign.

DWL Semi-Final
Finn Valley 2β1 Letterkenny Rovers
Letterkenny Rovers were narrowly beaten by Finn Valley in a closely contested DWL Semi-Final on Wednesday evening.
Finn Valley opened the scoring when Amy Doonan found the far corner from the edge of the box. Rovers responded well, pressing for an equaliser, and their efforts were rewarded when Aoise Diver capitalised on a loose ball, rounded the goalkeeper and finished calmly to bring the sides level.
The second half remained competitive, with Rovers defending resolutely and working hard to create opportunities. Finn Valley regained the lead when Sarah Campbell broke through and finished into the bottom corner.
Rovers continued to push for an equaliser and a place in extra time, with Aisling McGinley and Aoibhinn McLaughlin both going close as the team battled until the final whistle.
Well done to all the players on their effort and commitment. We wish Finn Valley the very best in the final.
Letterkenny Rovers now look ahead to the Trophy Final against Gweedore United on 13 September.

DONEGAL GIRLS IN GLASGOW
Letterkenny Rovers players Amy Moore and Aisling McGinley were part of the Donegal representative squad who enjoyed a fantastic football weekend in Glasgow.
The girls visited Celtic Park yesterday for Celtic v Falkirk before heading to watch Glasgow City v Spartans today.
A special moment after todayβs game saw Amy and Aisling meet Donegalβs own Erin McLaughlin, who is currently playing her football with Glasgow City.
A brilliant experience for the girls, getting the opportunity to watch top level football and meet one of Donegalβs own making her mark in the Scottish game.
