In our mini enclosed area, we’ve a 40/60cm (you choose which fence you’d like to jump) and on our main area, we’ve 70-75cm | 80-85cm | 90-95cm classes

This is gonna be A LOT OF FUN 🤩

If you haven’t already chosen who you’re going to pair up with…what are you waiting for??

Great warm up for the riding club national hunter trials

🍁🍂 Autumn Derby 🍂🍁

Entries are Now OPEN for our Autumn Derby taking place on Sunday 13th September 🤩

🤝🏻 An exciting addition to this Derby, is a PAIR class for each height section!!

We’ve made a few changes to our class heights this time, so hopefully the jump (couldn’t resist 😉) isn’t as great for those who are ready to make the leap from the mini, to the main area!

📍Please Note:

✔️ We do not have a 40cm Assisted class this competition

✔️ If you enter Classes 1 or 2, you can choose to jump the 40cm or 60cm fence option

✔️ If there are insufficient entries in Classes 7 & 8, we may amalgamate these with Classes 5 & 6. However, if this is unsuitable for you, we will issue a full refund.

🌟🌟How it works🌟🌟

Riders must enter their individual classes. As with the national dressage or eventing championships, riders can't be entered on a team if they haven't entered individually. Last year I believe in one case the club paid for their team entry, meaning riders had no extra expense if they were on a team.

🐴SHOW JUMPING🐴
A team must have a rider graded 90 or higher. The other 3 riders can be of any grade.
The team captain must be identified at the time of entry.
The competition is being run Nations Cup style, with all competitors jumping two rounds, regardless of faults in the first round.

Riders graded 70 and 80 will do their two rounds over a 70 course and then, if a jump off is needed to sort the placing for the individual classes, they will jump a third round over their graded height against optimum time. This means an RC80 rider would jump twice at 70 and then once at 80 (assuming they weren't the only RC80 rider to go double clear in their first two rounds)
An RC70 rider will do their third round at 70 against optimum time.

Riders graded 90 or above will do their first two rounds over a 90 course.
They will do their third round against the clock, over a shortened course, at their graded height. *This includes the riders designated as team captains.* These jump off rounds determine individual class placing.
An RC110 rider would do their first two rounds over 90. If this rider was a team captain, and their team was tying for first place after the first two rounds, they would then do a third round at 1.10m and their jump off score and time goes on their team result.

💃Dressage💃 (soooo much easier🙈)
Teams can be made up of any grade of rider, with the best 3 scores counting.
Team captains must be identified st the time of entry.
In the event of teams completing on equal scores, the team captains scores will be used to determine placings.

💥💥Time to defend your club's honour, and kick off your autumn campaign, all in memory of two mighty riding club supporters💥💥

Our Audrey Jacob and Orla O'Rrilly memorial show is back with a bang on Sunday 6th September in the reliably weather-proof venue of Eglinton Equestrian Center.
There are individual classes in both dressage and showjumping, as well the highly competitive team competitions (don't worry, your individual class scores count towards your team placing, so you dont have to do extra classes if you're on a team)
For anyone planning on heading to the AIRC eventing championship the following Sunday, its an ideal chance to practice the dressage tests.

What we do have:
Canteen
Indoor onsite stabling
Indoor arenas

What we don't have:
Training or Open classes....time to pull up your brave-pants and jump straight in at your grade.

Entries will open on itsplainsailing this Fri, the 21st Aug. Please note that team entries must be done by club secretaries. Riders enter individual classes themselves.
