Our u10s made our way to Ramelton this evening to play Swilly Rovers. On a wet damp miserable evening our players played very well in competitive games. Each and everyone of our players are improving with the more games we play. Big thanks to Jason for organising the game and for Stephen and all the coaches at Swilly Rovers for hosting.

Drumkeen Utd 1 - 1 Curragh Athletic

Our u14s rounded of their league campaign this morning with a hard fought draw at home to Curragh Athletic. The visitors had the majority of the ball in the early stages but failed to create any clear cut chances as our defence of Max O'Donnell, Oleg Huk, Jamie Moore and Neil Sweeney were all on top form putting in some great blocks and tackles. They did have some decent efforts from distance but Jake Fisher dealt with them comfortably with the exception of one effort that he was forced to pull of a great save when he tipped the ball onto the bar.

As the half wore on we grew into the game and had a good chance on 25 minutes with some nice football down the left from Neil Sweeney and Harry Gregg setting Darragh Coyle free but the keeper made a good save. Vlad Huk was first to the loose ball and with keeper stranded was unlucky to see his effort blocked by a defender. Halftime score 0 - 0.

We started the second half well with Caiden Bonner, Harry Gregg and Vlad Huk instrumental in midfield and Darragh Coyle, Michael Breen and Aidan Og O'Boyle putting the visitors backline under pressure. We took the lead on 44 minutes with Michael playing a great ball through to Aidan Og who finished with a good strike to the bottom corner. Curragh pushed for an equaliser and came close on a few occasions with shots that just missed the target and were also denied by another great save by Jake with his feet.

The visitors got their equaliser on 62 minutes with Rossa Gillespie firing in a great shot from distance to the corner of the net. Our lads didn't let their heads drop and thought we had grabbed the winner on 65 minutes when Aidan Og played a great ball through to Darragh who finished with great strike but the goal was ruled out on a very tight offside call. We had one last chance to win it late on as Harry's great corner delivery was headed goalwards by Jamie but was cleared of the line and came out to Darragh whose shot was saved by the keeper.

Thanks to Curragh for a good competitive game and to referee Daniel Carlin for officiating.

Well done to all our players on a great game, their workrate and effort was superb.

Despite all the rain during the week. The Lads did a great job with the Pitch and it's Looking Good ahead of the New Donegal League Season.

Well the Big Kick Off is fast Approaching. Today we Welcome Dunlewey Celtic to St Patrick's Park for our first League game of the Season in the Finn Travel Division 3.
The Lads have had a long lay off since their Last outing in the Voodoo Venue Cup.
That game proved to be an eventful affair where 15 goals were scored.
Unfortunately that day we came out on the wrong side of that one by just one goal against Neighbours Convoy Arsenal.
I don't know what the score will be today but if it is going to be a High scoring affair let's hope we come out on the right side of it this Time. The game kicks off at 1 pm . It is great to get the Season up and Running again and Hopefully it is a good Season with some good results and a bit of Craic as well.
We wish Doc and the Lads ALL the BEST today as they Get the New League Season underway and if you are free why not come along and cheer them on

Good luck to St Marys Convoy C.L.G. U12 team tomorrow in the All County Blitz Finals Day when they take on Downings in the Final in Convoy. Ten of our underage players are part of the St Marys squad and we wish them, their teammates and coaches the very best of luck.

Drumkeen Utd 2 - 1 Drumbar Utd

Our u16s rounded off their league campaign tonight with a home game under the lights against Drumber Utd. We started the game well and had a number of early chances with Ryan Cranwell, Canice Friel and Joshua O'Donnell all narrowly missing the target when well placed. We forced a number of corners and despite some great deliveries from Luca Maby we just couldn't apply the finishing touch.

We came closest to opening the scoring on 20 minutes when Joshua Bonner skipped past his marker and hit a fierce strike that was well saved by the keeper. We finally made the breakthrough on 30 minutes with Joshua Bonner playing a nice ball through to Canice Friel who turned his marker inside out before his shot across the keeper crept in off the post. We made it two on 33 minutes when Christopher Patton's excellent corner delivery ended up in the net of the head of a defender. Halftime score 2 - 0.

The visitors came out stronger in the second half and put us under a lot of pressure with long clearances from the keeper causing problems for our backline but they failed to create any clear cut chances. We pushed hard to add a third goal but struggled to create clear cut chances also. The visitors pulled a goal back on 72 minutes with Liam Walls finding the top corner with a great free kick from 30 yards. Walls came close to getting the equaliser with another two free kick efforts just missing the target. In the end we held on to our lead to finish our league campaign with a good win.
